Brink’s Home Security Opens Frederick, Maryland Office to Handle Growth

High growth levels in the housing market of Montgomery and Frederick Counties has fueled the demand for home security systems, and Brink’s Home Security is opening a new office in Frederick, MD to meet the needs of this market. The branch office opens September 13 and is located, along with a number of other new businesses and hotels in the area, at 5111 Pegasus Court, Suite A.

“As our business continues to grow, we need new offices to more conveniently serve our customers. The branch office in Frederick will not only help us to enhance local service, but will also benefit our employees and reduce expenses by cutting down on drive times to the homes and businesses we serve,” stated Keith Patterson, Vice President of Region Operations for Brink’s Home Security.

The new office will handle territory previously covered by other Brink’s Home Security branches in Sterling, VA and Lanham, MD. It will be fully staffed with a sales force, technicians and administrative personnel.

”We’re pleased to join the Frederick community and look forward to a strong relationship with the community and our customers,” Patterson added.

The Frederick Brink’s Home Security Branch Office will be headed by General Manager Brian Schmidt, who recently joined Brink’s Home Security from Terminix International, where he served as the Branch Manager in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. area. The Technical Manager will be John Weatherholtz, and he will be in charge of the system installation and service of monitored security systems.

Lost 5lbs since my “false alarm”…?

Question by Loren: Lost 5lbs since my “false alarm”…?
I am 36+1. On Monday we had a “false alarm”. I woke up with contractions, after about an hour of reassuring that they were contractions I started timing them. They were 10 minutes apart and not too uncomfortable. Hour and half later, they were 7 minutes apart and pretty uncomfortable, then an hour later they were 5 minutes apart and becoming unbearable. So we went into L&D, I was on the machine for 30 minutes and they stopped, sort of. I was still feeling them, but they were not registering. They sent me home. Now, I have lost 5lbs. Any correlation? Is this normal for the last trimester? I have gained 34lbs so far, but now I guess 29lbs? I have an appointment on Friday, just wanted to see what you ladies think!

Yes, that is normal. I have seen it in pregnancy books and journals that some women lose weight in the last four weeks. It is because things are shifting around and for whatever reason, you lose weight. I lost four pounds in the couple days before I delivered. But be aware, you might have been in a certain kind of labor that happens before the real thing. It has a specific name…I just forget what they called it. I went into that too and it sounded exactly like what you just described. Are you still contracting? I would be aware that sometimes that kind of labor leads right into the real thing. It can take weeks, but don’t discount if you suddenly feel different and think you might need to go back to the hospital.
